Open Question: Htc Hero...Flash Problem? And 2.1 Update?

I just bought the htc hero (sprint version) from my local carrier. And well everything has been going great, except when i go to my youtube app and play videos from youtube. They don't play, it comes up a message saying "this video cannot be played". So i was wondering...whats up? And another question...when is android 2.1 gonna be available for the hero?
